Location: Conference Room - The Vault - Federation Mission at Bre'el IV
Timeline: After 'The Mission Comes First'

Previously:

"Why us though?" Clearly no one had an answer, especially the lady who just spoke. "And what's going to happen if Starfleet don't respond?" Wren looked to the Lieutenant Commander for guidance.

"You're guess is as good as mine," another diplomat responded.

No one answered Reed's second question as they all knew what would happen...

=/\= This is Nurse Jones. We need some assistance in the lobby. =/\=

Everyone in the conference room looked at each other, some fearful of going back near the front of the mission and others more smug that they were senior-enough not to speak up.

Wren looked around the room, "Seriously?! No one?! Y'all are just cowards." She facial expression was shocked at the lack of volunteers. So she decided to step up. =^= Lieutenant Reed here. Talk to me, what's going on? What assistance do you need? =^=

A Petty Officer in a red uniform looked to Reed and stood up, walking towards her.

"I'll help, ma'am," he said.

Reed nodded, "Thank you. Let's get to it." Moving out of the room, they cautiously walked down a corridor as per the directions.

Back at the lobby, a guard came up to Cyrus.

"There's more wounded at the back gate, doc, they're requestin' your help," the guard reported with a southern twang.

"Get these people out of here Nurse. Triage what you can do, save who and what you can." Cyrus looked at the man with the southern draw and nodded. He brought up his rifle to his shoulder,. "Let's get moving."

As the volunteers entered the lobby and started moving the patients, a large explosion rocked the complex and what was once the gate was obliterated in a flash.

Wren instinctively grabbed a hold of her red shirt counterpart and dived onto the ground only to both be showered with some stray debris. "Come on, we can't stay here!" She surveyed the damage done and her mouth almost dropped in awe at the destruction: those closest to the gate had been killed instantly, a lot of people were in need of assistance, and everything was chaos.

Part of the ceiling had collapsed as power relays were exposed and dangling.

The Embassy was wrecked and an eerie silence was all that was heard as dust continued to float in the surreal scene of a Starfleet facility in shambles.
