Recipe for Gorn - http://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/193

With the Briefing concluded Hudson passed out the Marine flak jackets and helmets to the Starfleet personnel. He shrugged when Kilbane refused "Suit yourself sir, if you're confident that Security uniform can stop disruptor blasts"

"You're making the assumption I'm going to get hit" Kevin replied "and that just shows me you have no respect for Starfleet Security staff or their methods" Kevin replied, moving on.

"Not really sir. I've found it's best to show the most respect to the ability of the enemy to shoot people in the head. " He tapped his own helmet. "But that's just Marine methods. Good luck, sir," He turned and went back to his team.

Saddle Up! - http://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/197

LTJG Geneviève "Jenny" Lassonde's thoughts on Capt Corso (CAG of USS Devonshire):

Given the competitive nature of combat pilots, it was perhaps unavoidable that a rivalry would grow between the marines and the starfighter corps, up until now she hadn’t put much stock in it herself. Flight Captain Corso however had seemingly proven many of the worst stories she’d heard over the years, he was disorganized, self-centered, cocksure, patronizing, and almost certainly reckless at the controls of his vaunted javelin. In her estimation the man was nothing more than a preening, jumped up bully of exactly the sort that made her teeth grind.

Hilo - Storming the breach! - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/213

The first chalk abaord the Gorn crusier comes under fire and the Commpany commander goes down:

Hargreaves looked past Bolingbroke to where Santiago lay, a Marine over him. "What's his status?" Again, there was little demonstration of concern, or much other emotion.

"Captain is alive but he needs immediate casi-vac eL-Tee" One of the Marines called.

"Okay he goes back as soon as the last chalk arrives." Bolingbroke instructed and went over to see Santiago. "How you doing Captain?" He asked

Santiago groaned in pain.

Hargreaves looked to her team then approached Santiago. "We've got this from here, Cap. You focus on breathing." Again, simple confidence - though losing the company commander on the opening strike was far from textbook or ideal. Operational command was robust enough to deal with it, designed for redundancies in case things went wrong.

They'd just burnt through a lot of redundancies, and they'd only just arrived. She looked to Bolingbroke. "Plan doesn't change." It was a simple statement, though there was the faintest hint of query in there - not at the plan, but for him, a simple check-in that a young officer she didn't know wasn't too rattled by this set-back. The unspoken inference kept it easy to sweep aside, but she didn't have enough of a read on Bolingbroke yet that she wouldn't confirm he was sound.

Bollingbroke nodded "When I was in training, my Gunnery Sergeant had a saying Few plans survive first contact with the enemy" He grinned "I guess this one did. We're still standing and we have our objectives. We go on with the plan"

"Makes for a change," Hargreaves agreed, a mite of tension leaving her at the other team leader's reaction.

Birds of a Feather - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/195

Ensign Rora Tai, one of the new Flight Control Officers meet LT Rafe Cassidy, Chief Flight Control Officer

Cassidy nodded with a light smile. "Looking forward to more staff. Flight Control's had a lot more logistics specialists and navigators than outright pilots. At least for my tastes. And, you know, pilot ego's like a gas; without anyone else in the briefing rooms mine just expands to fill it which isn't much use."

Rora laughed softly, "Yes well I am sure we can deflate your ego a bit from now on."

GORN: Raider Phalanx - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/225

1stLt Goss is leading his team to repel the Gorn boarders

=/\="Goss to HQ, tell me the turbolift access on deck 12 is clear ja?"=/\= he radioed the question to the command center, his tricorder showed no nearby lifesigns, but he was not willing to risk his team being cut down as the lift doors opened.

=/\= Unknown, Team 3, =/\= came the response.

"Scheiße" Gregor cursed. "Okay team, up though the hatch." He instructed, pointing to the emergency hatch in the lift's roof.

LTJG Radun Dran, Chief Diplomatic Officer, finds himself in the hands of Gorn boarders

+ZilGarz, I have a prisoner+ reported Zarkrak.

+Excellent! If he is of value keep him until I arrive. If not execute him and continue on+ ZilGarz's voice came back over the Gorn's suit comm system

Dran growled, shouting obscenities in Bajoran. "Get off me!"

The Gorn dragged the Bajorn to his feet with a masive armoured fist and shoved his helmet in the man's face, glaring at him through the plexi-visor. A harsh growl came from a speak on it's helmet.

Dran blinked at the large, armored, Gorn holding him. "Hey, I'm just a diplomat, I'm not a warrior, I have no intention of harming you." He gestured as best he could at himself, "I'm not even armed! I have no way of harming you."

"You are coming with us," the Gorn snarled as he shoved the puny purple-wearing officer to a pair of Gorn who came up behind him.

Hawaii: Medical - Look Alive! - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/217

LT Amiri Aldana 365, D.V.M., M.D. reacts as one of hir subordinates resorts, to using old fashioned invasive surgery.

knives?! Gowns?! Gloves!? May as well give him a fork and a bib. Aldana thought to hirself as s/he continued to assist with hir task. “What is this a barbeque?” Aldana muttered amused to hirself in mock ‘McCoy-ian’ fashion.

Boarders & Hilo - In the den of dragons Part 4 - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/230

1stLt Hargreaves, 4th MSOT Team Leader, while on a boarding party on a Gorn Cruiser, asks one of her subordinates T'Kalla why there are Gorn in their section still when their ship conducted a separation maneuver.

"But if they're still here, do they know we're all on a timer? Or are they just ready to die with us if it means we're stopped?"

"What am I, L-T, the Gorn Whisperer?"

2d MSOT just conducted a maneuver to take out a Gorn flame thrower. Johanson volunteered to conduct aerial maneuvers in zero-G to distract the flame thrower since she used to be a zero-G gymnast, in order for the rest of the marines to get a clean shot.

"Cease fire!" Bolingbroke called. Once it was evident that not a Gorn lived in the tube. He looked up, horrified that Johanson would be a smoking corpse.

Kadesh and the others had the flames out but she was in a bad way. Her pant legs. from her thighs down, were a charred mess and she had burns over much of her lower legs.

Bolingbroke pushed himself up to her, Johanson was sobbing quietly, her eyes filled with tears and she was shaking but she met his gaze and lifted her chin.

"Only an Eight point Three from the Romulan Judge" Bolingbroke said with a wink.

Johanson blinked for a moment, then gave him a weak smile and wiped her nose "Piss off elTee! That was a Nine point Five any day!"

"Full Ten from me and the rest of these apes!" He replied. "Bloody fine work. Bloody fine!" The Marine was getting a commendation for sure.

Boarders & Hilo - In the den of dragons Part 5 - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/233

The marines are evacuating a portion of the Gorn Cruiser that just separated.

With the Transport informed, Tolkath turned to the Marine Lieutenant "What is your plan?"

"Normally I'd take it slow and steady on an evac mission through enemy terrain until we're under direct fire, but that'll just get us blown up halfway there," Hargreaves commented, voice flat. "So it's going to have to be fast and steady."

Boarders & Hilo - Out of the den of dragons - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/237/

At one point in the story, the boarding party on the separated saucer encounter Gorn:

Which was when they hit the next junction to face a quartet of armed Gorn soldiers.

There wasn't even time for a sarcastic comment as Hargreaves' rifle came up, Knorr's, T'Kalla's, and countless behind them - and the weapons of the Gorn, who looked about as startled as they did, one of them bearing only a pistol, another whose body armour was only partially donned.

"Don't ssshoot!" came the snarl from one, which in itself was enough to make Hargreaves' finger twitch near the trigger.

"Like hell," retorted T'Kalla.

"You don't want to get shot? Put down your weapons," Hargreaves rushed to speak over the tense Gunny.

"No time," came the words of the lead Gorn, that contorted snarling hiss of language a Universal Translator could comprehend the content of, but not all the communication nuances. "You know the ship is doomed. We know. We're evacuating."

"So, what, we just part ways here, no harm, no foul, and pelt like hell off this hulk?" Hargreaves felt the sweat on the back of her neck. She'd fought her way across the Alpha Quadrant. This wasn't her first war against the Gorn, and of all the races she'd fought, they had been the easiest to fight. Not in physical combat, with their speed and hardiness, but they were by far the most alien, the most... inhuman. It made the idea of pulling the trigger far easier.

"He's right that we don't have time," said Master Sergeant Knorr. "What else do we do, gun them down here?"

Hargreaves glanced over her shoulder towards Tolkath and Cortez, then made the executive decision that they didn't have time. She glared at the Gorn. "We're going right. You go that way." She jerked to her left, the way they'd been coming. "You so much as twitch at my Marines and we will gun you all down."

It was a tense transition, but the quartet of Gorn seemed, at least, not as keen to stand and die as anyone else, and with shuffled guns and glares and uncomfortable eye contact, the two parties had soon enough slipped by one another and the Starfleet contingent were on their way.

"Sorry if that was a chance for prisoners and intel, Commander, L-T," Hargreaves said to the Starfleet officers at her shoulder. "But my reckoning was that we did not have time for that. We're almost there."

Tolkath shook his head "I concur Lieutenant. Under the circumstances it would not have been worth the risk of further loss of life"

At the Gorn shuttlebay, the boarders encounter a Gorn who is not so quick to ignore the boarders:

Miller who had been slumped almost lifeless, opened his eyes, his left hand went to his phaser pistol, with his last effort he drew it and shoved the barrel into the backpack.

His head lolled backwards making eye contact with Bolingbroke and the others. He had no air in his burnt, torn lungs to speak but he mouthed the words Get down!

Bolingbroke realized what Miller intended and started to shout No...!

But he saw Miller's eyes begin to fade and knew the Marine was almost gone. Bolingbroke dropped to the floor, "Down! Get Down! Now!" He closed his eyes tightly, covered his head and blew out air.

Hudson was going to charge to Miller's aide but Kadesh tackled him and they crashed to the deck beside Bolingbroke

MIller was cold now, so very cold, the pain was terrible and his vision was growing dim, closing in on him. He could barely feel his hand on the phaser and he had to concentrate with everything he had to remember what he was going to do. Pull the trigger... just pull it...

His arm and hand felt like frozen stone, his trigger finger would barely respond and he struggled, concentrating on nothing but willing it to close.

The Gorn raised it's arm, jerking Miller's body upwards, still trying to shake him lose, as it did so Miller's head rolled forward and suddenly he was looking directly at the Gorn's face through its visor. It's cold white eyes were locked on his, although Miller could barely see now, but as his vision went dark forever Miller saw fear there, on the Gorn's face, real fear.

Miller smiled one final time and pulled the trigger!

When the boarders get aboard the Hilo for evac:

Hargreaves walked the line of her team, ostensibly doing her job to double-check everyone was secure in their webbing in case the ride got jumpy. But even with her cool demeanour there was a moment of eye contact with each Marine. When she saw doubt or apprehension, checking they were strapped in included a pat on the shoulder or the like.

"Yeah," grumbled Gunnery Sergeant T'Kalla when Hargreaves got to her. "Thanks, Mother."

The Gunny got a punch on the arm instead of a pat, but it was next to her that Hargreaves had to strap herself in. Once she was in place T'Kalla reached out to check her own webbing, rougher than necessary, but ended it with a quick thumbs up that included almost a smile from both women.

"Team 4 ready to go," Hargreaves confirmed from her position.

Sitting in the Mess Hall - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/249/

Sgt Walken tries to be-friend ENS Nar'Sivaro, a Vekimen, anti-social reptile:

"You are not making this easy you know. I'm trying to be friendly here." He was now rubbing his temples now, he could tell why she was sitting here alone and not with others.

Edtoto paused at Kyle's words, then let out an explosive sigh. "Clearly my inputs are incorrect," She said, putting the Datapad down, interlocking her fingers in consideration. "Honesty was something that I was told was a value," She explained, her head ticking to the side like a bird. "What is your suggestion for this interaction?"

"Honesty is always nice but when someone is being kind it is generally good to at least fake that kindness back as well." The marine was wondering if this was a good idea or not, it wasn't like he really knew this person at all. "Are making connections and friendships not something you look for?"

"Have you ever tried to stick a half inch bolt into a quarter inch nut?" Edtoto asked, looking at Kyle. "There is a moment where you can try, and try, but no matter how you look at it, you either need to grind open the hole, or grind down the nut," She sighed, standing up. She reached out, pulling her hand back for a moment before moving forward and tapping his hand, the motion unpracticed. "It is alright. I appreciate the attempt, as you might say. I have just accepted long ago that I am not capable of making friends," She said, her voice unwaivering, but somehow the words were depressed.

The Third Pip - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/116/

CDR Zamora reflects on his career and separation from family, after the Second Battle of XFY:

Now he was risking his life, fighting over a god-forsaken expanse of border territory, and the third pip had landed on his collar with dizzying speed. He had just spent Christmas apart from Maria and Reina for the very first time since his daughter was born, and now, before January had even ended, he had jumped two ranks and was serving as executive officer of a Sovereign. It seemed as though the moment he had let go of his family, his career had come roaring back to life, speeding along to make up for every day spent in stasis.

And what a raw deal that had turned out to be, right now he would gladly trade it all to be back with the two people he loved most in the world. He wanted so badly to be back in their arms, doing a job that he understood, that he was good at, that he believed in. What could possibly make this trade worthwhile, what could make up for the cold, empty bed, for the silent, joyless quarters, for the fear, and tension, the uncertainty, the violence, the failure as he struggled to cope with so many new responsibilities?

A Tricky Thing - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/268/

1stLt Hargreaves writes a letter to a fallen marine's parents:

Tap tap tap -

'I write, with regret, to report the news -'

- tap tap tap tap -

'It is with sorrow that I report the loss -'

- tap tap tap -

'I regret to inform you of the untimely death of your son, Abraham Biggs -'

- tap tap tap tap tap tap -

A blank PADD, and Hargreaves was already through the single glass of brandy she'd allowed herself to get through writing the letter to Corporal Biggs' parents. Of all the obligations that had come with the bars on her collar, this was the one she liked the least. Sergeant Hargreaves had indeed contacted the bereaved of comrades lost in battle before, but it had been informal, when she'd thought she could help, usually when she'd had some relationship with the lost. But she'd never had so much as a conversation with Abraham Biggs before he died. Five foot behind her. In a narrow, smoke-filled corridor -

She grabbed the PADD. It is my sad duty to inform you of the death of your son, Abraham Biggs. Somehow the words spilled out this time, neither too formal nor ridden with emotion she didn't feel. Biggs was not the first Marine she'd lost under her command, and he would not be the last, and she couldn't pretend the sting was personal. She knew too-well that losing only one Marine in 4MSOT on that boarding mission was a damned good result.

But that wouldn't help Abraham Biggs' parents.

So she wrote. Once that first sentence had cooperated, the rest came easy enough; she gave a crisp, clipped account of how he fell, emphasising the rescue element of their mission and the necessity of a fierce assault to save lives.

Family always liked that. You never said, 'Your loved one was shot in the head by a sniper we didn't know was there at the start of a fight we weren't expecting.' Under those circumstances, it was best to just fudge the details and say they perished in a firefight. The truth was a tricky thing.

Fight Like Siblings - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/269/

LT Cassidy calls his brother in the aftermath of battle:

He wasn't going to check again.

It felt like aeons had passed since the battle had started, but Cassidy knew it had barely been a day. That wasn't enough time to assume a meaningful update of manifests and reports. He might have gone through one of the hardest fights of his life, but the rest of the galaxy had blinked and shrugged and continued its inexorable drag across the stars and universe. Checking and re-checking was like picking at a scab, and he didn't want to bleed any more.

So he chose a different kind of poison, and put in a call to his brother.

The Price We Pay - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/283/

ENS Graham Beckett, newly assigned to the Hawaii as ATACSEC, and his wife are discussing their future assignments:

"We've been over this. You're not changing my mind."

"And would you," he challenged, "if I took that analyst job with Commodore Roth? Stayed on Earth?"

"Why." Maggie grabbed a stack of PADDs and began sorting them, not even looking at him. "Are you about to?" But he hesitated, and before he could decide if he wanted to try to change the course of his life or at least bluff her into testing the waters, she lifted her head and looked him in the eye. "We weren't born to walk the easy road, darling."

I was, Graham thought guiltily. Which is why I've got a responsibility to not do exactly that. He sighed, gesturing helplessly with his hands. "I don't like worrying about you."

Conduct unbecoming - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/253/

CDR Tolkath (2XO/CSO) and CDR Zamora (XO) discuss LTJG Saatyn (Former ACSO) and crew transfers after CAPT Tachibana's revelation that the Hawaii was sent to the Gorn Theater to be destroyed:

"Have you thought further on the Captain's disclosure of the reason this ship was initially sent to this region of space?"

"To be quite honest with you, I am still mulling over the full implications of that particular revelation." Juan confessed, taking a swig of his coffee. "What is your concern?"

"That Officer's such as Lieutenant Saatynn were purposely assigned here to somehow effect this ship and the Captain...." Tolkath responded evenly

"That, is a grim prospect to consider," Juan mused darkly. "And one that will take some time and effort to verify. I can say though, that if we are embroiled in such a complex scheme, we only improve our chances of completing our mission with each element that we thwart."

"It is not a situation that one would ever foresee occurring in Starfleet, the deliberate sabotaging and sacrifice of a Ship and crew. However, we cannot deny there are facts that point to this being the case. The question is, I think, why is this still happening?" Tolkath replied

"There are, as I see it, two possible explanations. One, Admiral Banda was correct in saying that the Hawaii is no longer being used as a pawn, and simple bureaucratic inertia has left some aspects of the plan still in motion. Two, Admiral Banda was not correct, and actors unknown continue to try and manipulate our fate. Until we have strong confirmation of the former, it will behoove us to assume the latter is true." Juan offered.

Sweet and spice - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/182/

Capt Bolingbroke (BMSOC/CC) and LT Taltos (ACHENG) are having a romantic dinner:

"A BarRolo, good hearty Italian red, plenty of body." He looked at the label "Not the greatest year, but should go well with the steak and lasagna." He set the glasses down, took a seat and poured the wine and held out the glasses. "Cheers"

Iria blinked at him a moment than sat down carefully, she gave a more cheeky grin, "I will take your word for it, I don't know anything about wine." She accepted the glass he offered her, "Cheers."

"Shrinking the Jarhead" - Part I - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/258/

LT Aldana 365 (CMO) and Sgt Walken (2MSOT/EL) are discussing the term "jarhead" during the Sergeant's medical exam:

“You must be mixing up a word, ‘Jarhead’ is just old slang for Marine, nothing derogatory about it.” He sat up once the scans were finishes. “Well I guess I can’t talk my way out of these shots, do what you got to do Lieutenant. Once it’s all through I should be cleared to active duty and get my team into ship shape.”

Aldana considered Walken’s comment. “Hmm, yes, but I thought it was initially intended as an insult implying that Corpsmen had empty heads so they could be filled with whatever the militaries of the time wanted to throw at them?” Doctor Aldana got out a hypo spray and prepared it for the first one. S/he held it up. “Luckily there’s only two you need, one is a combination shot. Where would you like it?”

“Wrong actually, during the twentieth century, the American Navy called the Marine that due to the high collars on their uniforms. But they embraced the name and it still inexistent to this day.” Kyle explains as he presents his left arm to the Amiri. “Alright I’m ready.”

Intelligence Matters - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/285/

LTJG Jinn Tevran (INT) and LTJG Eira Cortez (AINT) meet for the first time as Tevran takes command of the Intelligence Department. The two are discussing Cortez's house arrest situation which was punishment for siding with the Wyoming Senior Staff when their Captain attempted to wrest command of the Hawaii from CAPT Akio Tachibana (CO) during a mutiny-type situation. It was revealed previously to some that Cortez acted that way because her brothers were kidnapped and she was blackmailed to act a certain way, in order to save them:

Jinn slowly opened his mind outward. He wanted to gauge his subordinates honesty on these next few questions. "Don't you think it's warranted? At least a little bit? You went against your Captain and crew. Suspicions about your loyalty are only natural."

"I apologize, but I didn't come here to be interrogated." Eira responded flatly.

LTJG Tevran discusses further developments to Cortez's situation:

Jinn mulled over what Cortez had told him. There was a lot to unpack here and most of it was pretty damn intriguing. She was holding back, to be sure, but he could sense no deception from her in what she had told him. She was being as open as she felt comfortable being.

"I would also like to be informed should anything new come up," he replied, finally. "The Captain obviously has Command authority, but let's be honest- If this situation is as screwed as you say, his capability to help will be limited and constrained by that authority. You and I both know that sometimes the best weapon isn't a bright, shining sword that you wield in a noble duel, but a dagger in the back in some dark alley."

Meet The New Boss, Not The Same As The Old Boss - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/299/

LTJG Marcus Eriksson (ACSO) meets CDR Tolkath (2XO/CSO) for the first time. The two are discussing a passing inquiry by Eriksson about any experiments he should be aware of:

"Any projects I should be aware of? Is anyone tampering with the fundamental forces of the universe in a way that could unleash a power we can barely comprehend?"

"All current science projects are related to our combat operations. Research into the Gorn sheild-pentrating torpedoes; the Gorn biogenic weapon and the Gorn implants into Wyoming prisoners" Tolkath replied evenly.

"I take it your other comment was flippant, Lieutenant?" One eyebrow raised.

"Well, only kinda." Marcus replied. "On my last assignment, there was an officer working on a project about subquantum chromodynamics, interesting stuff with the potential to affect practical tech on everything from warp drive to replicators, as well as increasing our knowledge. Anyway, he put together an experiment, built the equipment and was getting ready to turn it on when we identified a potential... problem in a simulation. Long story short, the device could've torn a hole in the fabric of space."

"Very well. I shall endeavour to see that you are amongst the first to be informed, should that event ever occur. Until that happens, perhaps you could find the time to inroduce yourself to Doctor T'Lara and offer your services on the implants. Carry on Lieutenant" Tolkath nodded and returned to his work.

Home sweet Home - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/289/

LTJG Harry Stevens (TACSEC) and LTJG Eira Cortez (AINT) were discussing Cortez's brothers who were recently revealed to be held captive by an unknown enemy. She is trying to change the subject:

"So, what do you want to focus on?" Harry asked as he looked back at her. Knowing that this hadn't gone the way he would of liked, he continued, "do you want to focus on us?" he inquired as he walked over to the sofa and sat down.

She raised an eyebrow at the word us. "What do you mean 'us'? There is no us? There's you, there's me. Remember I only agreed to act as girlfriend if you had to go back home."

Home sweet Home - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/310/

1stLt Eleanor Hargreaves (4MSOT/TL) and Sgt Kyle Walken (2MSOT/EL) were discussing Hargreaves's past career as an enlisted marine:

"Well then I can look up to you L.T. I plan to do that one day, go back for officer's training. But until then I shall just keep doing what I must and for now it's leading this Frog Squad op down on the planet when we get there." Walken took a large drink from his whiskey as he set down the glass, the waiting was the worst part to him he would rather just began the drop already.

"That's a hell of a job that needs doing," Hargreaves accepted. "I'd say it's the kind of op that looks good on your record when it comes to putting your name forward for officer training. But it looks best if you walk away from it alive.

Bumping into the Ensign - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/312/

LTJG Harry Stevens (TACSEC) and ENS Anyi Nila (OPS) are discussing Lady Sif, Harry's Starfleet Working Dog as part of the K9 Division:

"She is not a Pet but a working Dog and her name is Lady Sif," replied Harry looking at the young Ensign, He continued, "And you would be pleased that we have her," as Sif gave her a small growl, Harry finished, "if she saved your life," as Harry tapped side of his Leg and she returned to his side once more.

"If it barks like a pet, walks like a pet, and looks like a pet you know what it is? A pet." Nila narrows her eyes, "Even if your pet saves my life guess what, it will still be a pet."

Bright Ideas - Shades of Grey - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/317/

LT Rafe Cassidy (CONN), LTJG Jinn Tevran (INT), and LTJG Eira Cortez (AINT) meet up at the pre-battle party:

Cassidy’s eyes followed the exchange of greetings and also gave Jinn an easy wave. “Ah, it’s your new boss, who likes winding up Marines. He seems fun,” he commented quietly but sincerely to Cortez.

Jinn gave Cortez a grin and gladly walked over to join her and Cassidy. He gave a mock bow as he approached. “Miss Cortez, I would say neither of us are living up to our backgrounds as covert operatives right now, as I must say we are clearly the two best dressed individuals here.”

When the world is burning around you - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/239/

ENS Masterson (NPC played by Zamora) and Luuna attempt to rescue others in the aftermath of the Second Battle of XFY:

“Are you alright!? Can you feel your legs!?” He asked whatever questions bubbled up to the top of his mind, as he tried to remember his first aid training.

“No, I usually leave that to whomever I invite to my bedchambers.” The Bolian woman chuckled holding onto Luuna for support and slapping her palm on the inside of the bottom of the desk to further identify her location.

Canterra – Operation Toe Dip - 4th MSOT CallSign Hillary - LZ Eiger Two - https://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/335/

1stLt Hargreaves and the rest of 4th Marine Special Operations Team (4MSOT) just landed in the snowy mountains and she is assigning patrol positions:

"You want me taking up the rear, L-T?" said T'Kalla.

Hargreaves gave her a look that was mostly lost under the layers of equipment. "Already gave you a job, Gunny. Don't worry, you'll get your fun."

"Yeah, don't worry, Gunny," chimed in Staff Sergeant Otero. "There'll be plenty of Gorn to murder us all."
