Akio stared at the screen.
Captain, i felt to the bone that on every principal, every oath,loyalty To The Federation, and everything it takes to wear this uniform that it was of the utmost importance to share it with you. Question is, what do we do now
Akio stared again. Akio wasn't sure how frantic Lieutenant Winchester was, yet if his message was not bone chilling, what was attached certainly was.

There are concerns that Starfleet Intelligence has been compromised.
One LTJG EIRA CORTEZ is set to be assigned to USS HAWAII as ASST. CHIEF INTEL via BRE'EL IV.
MONITOR LTJG CORTEZ for any suspicious activity, specifically concerning:
1. STARFLEET OPERATIONAL DETAILS AS IT RELATES TO GORN THEATER
2. ANY COMMS w/GORN AGENTS
Starfleet Intelligence assesses with MODERATE CONFIDENCE that LTJG CORTEZ is likely a GORN sympathizer, potential double agent, and is feeding GORN and/or their agents classified/sensitive Starfleet information.
Due to suspected leaks within Starfleet Intelligence, Starfleet Security is stepping in as the objective Bureau. Somehow LTJG CORTEZ has been assigned to USS HAWAII despite these security concerns, confirming our suspicion that Starfleet Intelligence has been compromised beyond one or two leaks.
Counterintelligence is officially under investigation by Starfleet Intelligence and it is our suspicion that LTJG CORTEZ may be part of that leak or a new leak entirely on her own.
Use your best judgment. Report all details direct to Starfleet Security on this channel. If you find a smoking gun, you are authorized to use HAWAII SECURITY TEAM to APPREHEND LTJG CORTEZ.

Akio was again perplexed and read through the enter message for the fourth or fifth time.
"XO, I need to see you in my office now. Bring Commander Zamora as well," Akio transmitted.
[Bridge - Deck 1]
Marian looked uneasy. He didn't even know where Zamora was at currently. Was he being relieved? He knew Zamora had just assumed Second Officer duties.
"Yessir," Marian replied before sending another transmission to Zamora, "Commander Zamora, the Captain needs to see us in his ready room, pronto."
"I'm on my way," Juan obliged, before letting out a yawn. He got up and ordered a fresh cup of coffee from the replicator on the way out, adjusting to section four's schedule was proving to be more difficult than he'd anticipated.
"Commander Tolkath, you have the bridge," Marian said once Zamora arrived.
"Aye sir" Tolkath stated and moved to relieve the XO at the center chair. "Continuing course and speed."
[Captain's Ready Room]
Akio opened the door once the chime rang.
"Gentlemen, thank you for coming. A matter of grave concern has come to my attention," Akio said as he passed a PADD to each of the Commanders.
Marian read it over. "This is a hell of a time for this kind of notification," he said exasperated.
"I know. All kidding aside, I am not sure how credible a threat from Cortez is or not. Yet, she is one of the few intelligence bodies we have and I feel like we are already going into this mission blind. I am not sure if you two are aware, there has been some infighting in Starfleet Command over the recent Gorn Incursion. Even the current Federation Council has hauled our top Admirals in for questioning," Akio discussed aloud. "What do you think?" he asked, turning to Zamora.
Juan crossed his arms and furrowed his brow "Divided loyalties are a messy and unhappy business, and I do not yet know ms. Cortez well enough to give you a full assessment, she seems like an earnest officer, though her impulsive behavior at the Bre'el starport is worrisome. It would be simpler if so much of her file were not classified. But when is life ever simple? Intelligence is a vital resource out here so it comes as a blow to find out that we must now doubt everything we hear. We are going to need a plan of action in order to ferret out any traitors that might be hiding among us."
"Lieutenant Fallon cleared her of any charges," Marian started. "Security felt she was defending herself at the starport and just reprimanded Ensign Jones for causing the ordeal. Now, her actions seem to make sense. I would be equally jumpy if half the Federation was hunting me down."
Akio nodded, "Hunting or not, I agree with Mr. Zamora's assessment. Instruct Lieutenant Winchester to obey his orders, Mr. Marian, yet we are not turning this ship into the Salem witch trials."
