Following are some quotes from our adventures. There is no criteria - they may have been funny, deep, impressive - basically, a quote that struck us.

Arrival – http://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/31

"Anyone else we know in the ranks?" Kage asked.

"A few. Nobody I would cycle out the airlocks, yet. Still, there is time." Melota replied, saluted again and they went different directions.

Veteran Lives - http://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/20

Ahressa nodded, "Lieutenant Nimh, sir. But yes, you're excused." She flashed him a bright smile to let him know she was mostly joking.

First Impressions? - http://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/8

LT Nimh:

It felt so much as if she was talking to the every day Federation citizen not a member of an enemy species. Were the Gorn inhabitants of Cestus III like this too? The ones who have lived in peace on the shared world with the humans?

Checking Duty Stations - http://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/15

"Well, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to make sure that I'm not already behind on paperwork. Quite an anachronistic phrase, wouldn't you say? Since I've never seen paper used for anything outside of wrapping sandwiches or ancient books." Just as it seemed a lecture on the history of paper might be eminent though, Zim seemed to think better of it.

A Protective Film - http://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/19

Nimh:
Granted she'd still spend a good portion of time on the Bridge, but having everything within eye-movement range was very appealing to her inner geek.

Melota laughed briefly, her predatory smile causing a nearby PFC to sweat. "Any Marine that behaves anything but correctly towards fleet will receive my special attention."

Offering a Flyboy Hand - http://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/22

Conversation between Ren & Kosu:

“Actually, I was wondering if there was anything I could do for you,” Kannu said as he slowly glanced around the messy office. He didn’t judge though, he couldn’t imagine the amount of paperwork which was required to launch a new Starship. “I’m Lieutenant Ren, Hawaii’s new Flyboy. Just wondered if there was anything I could help you with to get the ship ready?”

That actually made her stop with digging into her pile of 'paperwork' and made her look surprised at the Lieutenant "Not to sound rude sir, but how?" Deeli was for the first time in her life surprised.

Staffing Woes - http://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/36

Darren Marian sat at his desk rubbing his temples staring at the message from the Starfleet Personnel Office liaison.

Lieutenant Marian,

We have received your communication and regret to inform you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, LT K'lara Korat has been moved to another assignment and removed from the manifest of the USS Hawaii.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

"Damn bureaucrats," Darren said, standing up and pacing. Here they were, setting off to what could be a warzone and they had no Chief of TACSEC. What could Starfleet be thinking making a decision like that? And why hadn't they informed Command ahead of time they would be lacking such a vital officer?

===

Darren pulled up the new TACSEC's bio on his PADD and scanned the service record. "An officer on Deep Space 10 before being promoted to commanding officer of the Ajax, a Wallace class." He looked up. "I'm going to go ahead and order in advance no small ship jokes."

===

Conversation between Marian & Nimh:

In the hallway he called up the wall computer. "Location of Lieutenant Tyler Fallon?"

"Lieutenant Fallon is currently in the main shuttlebay."

He looked at Lieutenant Nimh. "When you said just arrived I guess you really meant just arrived. Excellent. We can welcome him aboard."

Ahressa nodded with a smile, "I don't give out misleading information, sir." She chuckled inwardly at the irony of her statement.

===

Danz arriving on the Hawaii:

She noticed three people lined up in view of the shuttle, likely waiting for...her? Three Lieutenants?

"Spirits, what's happened already?" She muttered softly to herself as she threw on a smile and walked over.

The Bajoran Front - http://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/18

Nimh after meeting Ren the first time:
The more you kept one talking, the more you learned about them. This kid wasn't bad, Ahressa had to admit, rather clueless as to the plight of his people, but he seemed to have a good heart and a solid head on his shoulders.

Three Worlds Part I - http://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/54

Elliott on Quinor V on 18 Aug 2385:
Beneath his boots the brittle ground broke into more pieces, blown by the arid winds, tumbling particles, mixing them back together with the barren wasteland that lay dry as a bone. His uniform did little to shield him from the ache burning through his pale skin or protect him from the thirsty sun wanting to drink him dry. Fields lay fallow, black pleats against the bright hues of white and blue skies waiting for the tears of the heavens to fill her furrows. Jack licked his cracked lips and swallowed more of the hot air making his throat sore as he raised his hand to shield his eyes. In this vastness, this expanse of space, there was nowhere to hide, nowhere to run. Some say they found god in places like this, or clarity, each with a different story.

A Fresh Start - http://hawaii.bravofleet.games/index.php/sim/viewpost/71

SgtMaj Daly arriving at 3d Marine Raider Battalion Headquarters on Pollux IV via transporter w/Lt McKinley operating the transporter console:
The tan-skinned, square-jawed Marine stood just under six-feet tall and under two-hundred pounds. He was by no means the largest individual, but his wiry frame possessed taunt muscles that strained against the fabric of his duty uniform; the obvious results from years of intensive regular exercise. Though he looked relaxed standing at the position of parade-rest (both arms behind his back), he projected an aura of power, with the promise of pain at the slightest provocation. From his perpetual scowl, right down to the hideous web of scars that riddled the left side of his face, every line of scar tissue told a story that this Marine had seen the horrors of combat many times over.

He furrowed his brow into an angry glare, and from his cold, dead grey eyes he looked upon the gawking young Starfleet Marine officer. With a gravelly voice that sounded like pebbles being dropped onto a coffin’s lid, the Sergeant Major inquired, “Is there a problem, son?”

“N..n-n-n..no..n-n-no problem…no problem at all,” the young lieutenant stammered. The senior NCO shot him a menacing glare as if expecting something else. The young lieutenant realized his breach of protocol and quickly correcting himself, “I mean, no problem at all…Sergeant Major.”

The burly old Marine just grunted, “Hmph,” as he bent down and picked up his duffel bag. He then stepped down off the Transporter platform and walked over to the young Starfleet Marine officer, who by now had started sweating profusely, beads of sweat running down his forehead. McKinley hadn’t been this nervous since he first met his instructors back at Starfleet Marine Basic Officer Academy. Noticing the lieutenant’s discomfort, the Sergeant Major replied, “Relax LT, before you strain something.”
