For Harry having the day off was a blessing and a chance to unwind, after all he had been rather busy of late what with the investigation of the Gorn Doctor and Winchester just dumping the entire investigation in his lap. Although it had helped him gain experience of running one and would help him in the future.

Just then his terminal pinged and hoped that it wasn't SFI calling as at the moment he had nothing to report, He knew that science was looking at the Device that they had found in the Gorn doctor's quarters and to find out what major power had given it to the Doctor in the first place.

But it wasn't SFI, it was the Captain, Harry thought' What does he want? as he rose from the seat and exited the room and made his way to the Nearest turbolift.

Akio heard the ding and he called for the visitor to enter.

"Ah, Mr. Stevens. Welcome. Thank you for making the trip up to the command deck," Akio said gesturing to the seats.

"Sir, May I ask Why the Call?" asked Harry somewhat confused at the Call, after all this was supposed to be his day off relaxing, maybe taking a swim on the holodeck. as he knew Winchester had not come out of his quarters for the last few days.

"It seems Starfleet has different plans for you," Akio said. "Lieutenant Winchester is being transferred to Xavier Fleet Yards following his promotion, leaving you to be our Chief Tactical and Security Officer, unless a more senior officer reports aboard. Congratulations."

"Me... chief!" exclaimed Harry with surprise as this news of a shock and unexpected, he now realized that his day had just got a bit more unexpectedly changed as he now had to set up meetings with the section heads and that included the K9 division. As he knew now that he had just lost his day off as well.

"Indeed. So, since your promotion, I do make it a point to meet one-on-one with my senior staff to answer any questions and make sure if there is anything you need, we get it. Do you have any questions thus far? I know we have spoken about the many investigations you are overseeing at length," Akio explained.

"Yes Sir, I am pretty stretched with manpower whilst running them Sir and only having 2 Security teams running three shifts," exclaimed Harry looking back at the Captain, He continued " and they are completely shattered sir, I request full R&R for them when we dock at the fleet yards."

"Granted. Everyone will get a chance for some leave, provided there is something left of the yards to disembark upon. The highest priority for you at the moment are those investigations. I already have Task Force Command breathing down my neck without Starfleet Command getting involved," Akio stressed.

"Understood sir," replied Harry looking back at him, He continued: "We spoke with the Transporter chief who reckons that the transporter was not used and that the Gorn Doctor is hiding out on the ship," exclaimed Harry. He continued "However; the internal sensors are offline and he left his combadge in his office so we can not track him."

"How long does Science estimate the internal sensors to be offline?" Akio asked.

Until we reach the ship yards Sir," replied Harry who was not amused by the delay, "But I might have an idea that might work Sir," looking back at him, "Permission to use the K9 division to search the ship?"

"Granted. It sounds like you have a reptile hunt on your hands. Lieutenant Kosu may also be of service. She seems to know many hiding spots aboard this vessel," Akio suggested.

"I'll speak with her shortly Sir," replied Harry as he finished" and will keep you informed" he knew that he had to let the Captain know about the blackmail of Lieutenant Cortez," Oh and before I forget our Intel chief was being blackmailed and it seems to be tied into the mess with the Gorn Doctor."

"Yes, I heard of something like that... Lieutenant Cassidy spoke with you?" Akio asked.

"Yes Sir that he did" replied Harry looking back at the Captain, He continued" Permission to assign him to help with that Part of the investigation Sir," as he knew that Rafe could handle it after all he had got Cortez to open up about the Blackmail plot.

"It's your department now. If you think he will be an asset to your investigation, that is your call. Just remember, it is still your investigation and Lieutenant Cassidy is not a Security Officer," Akio allowed with the warning.

"I understand that sir, but if he hadn't got Cortez to talk we wouldn't have known about the blackmail to unseat you," replied Harry as he knew that the Captain was not going to be happy, so he continued, "What I will have him do sir is set up a timeline to see when this plan was started."

"You do have a good point with Cassidy able to get to Cortez. Very well, keep me updated," Akio said grimly.

"Will do sir and I do have a plan to find Doctor Sthilg," replied Harry looking back at the Captain as he continued, "or find out if he has left the ship."

"I would expect nothing less, Ensign," Akio concluded before dismissing the junior officer.

As the officer exited, Akio wondered if the Hawaii was going to be able to function with such a junior crew.
