A Glaring Accountability

Location: CEO office, other locations as needed
Timeline: After Cold Comfort mission completion

[Main Engineering]

Iria wasn't in the best of moods after the recent events and the fact Kosu was on mandatory reduced work meant she and the rest of engineering had to step up.

One thing she had put off was dealing with was how Harry Stevens had treated her during the mission in the mine to distract the Gorn, and liberate the colonists. She had been part of other dealings, in a few staff meetings, and she had helped in the hunt for the Gorn Doctor. Instead he had treated her as if she wasn't a person worth his time by calling her Toltos then Ira. =/\= Taltos to Stevens when you have a moment free we really need to talk.=/\=

[Mess Hall]

Harry had been sitting in the Mess hall thinking about what Cassidy had been saying to him, he thought, oO am I so concerned about advancement then just doing the job I have now? Oo as his combadge chirped and tapped it, he said =/\= Stevens here, I'm free right now as it happens=/\= as he knew that he had upset Iria by getting her name wrong.

=/\=Then by all means please come to the CEO office so we can talk.=/\= Iria replied and set about pacing to try to use up some of the annoyed energy. If she was slightly calmer she wouldn't just start off calling him something that wasn't very nice. She didn't need him to be defensive, she wanted his attention to make a point.

=/\= I'm on my way Lieutenant, Stevens out=/\= replied Harry putting the glass back on the table, He said, "Sorry Rafe, Looks like I'm needed elsewhere," as he tapped the side of his leg and Sif rose and stood next to him. He finished " and thanks again for the talk, I needed that," as they turned and headed towards the exit, Harry knew he was heading for a meeting with an angry chief Engineer.

[CEO's Office]

Iria paced around the office as she waited for him to arrive. She wasn't sure what bothered her more by Harry Stevens' actions of calling her Toltos then Ira. She had been a part of the Hawaii for months, he had been there when Tolkath and the Captain had gotten her released from Xavier station security, had been part of several staff meetings, had taken part during the hunt for the Gorn Doctor, she had even invited him to the party for the crew. But he had acted as if he didn't know her at all, specially with his "And my name is Harry" comment after he'd called her Toltos. A few moments later he had called her Ira. Iria wasn't as statuesque as some women, but she was definitely female. It was rude and it hurt her feelings to be so dismissed. Iria shook her head and tried to think of how to start the conversation when Harry Stevens decided to show up...

[Main Engineering]

Having entered Main Engineering, Harry and Sif headed towards the Chief Engineers office as he heard one of the Engineer’s say, “Watch out lads, the Dogs here again,” as Harry took no notice and came to a halt outside the door, he looked down at Sif, He said, ” You ready Sif, Lets see what Iria wants,” as he pressed the door chime and waited.

Iria moved to the doorway and waved the sensor to open, she stepped back as soon as she saw Sif at Stevens' side, "Can you please, leave the canine out side of the office, Lieutenant junior grade Harry Stevens?" She said in as calm as tones as she could muster.

"Her name is Lady Sif," replied Harry looking at her as he didn't like how she addressed Sif in that manner," and say the magic word," he continued to look the Lieutenant, as he had Came here because she had asked him to.

Iria raised her auburn hued eyebrows slightly, "I just said Can you please, leave the canine outside of the office. I don't have to be polite but I am trying which is more than I can say for you."

"Sif, Guard," replied Harry as Sif sat down looking out over Main Engineering while Harry entered the Office of the Chief Engineer, He asked, "So why am I here?"

[CEO's Office]

Iria nodded towards the chair in front of the desk, that had more PaDD's and spare parts, slightly organized chaotic but it was how she liked it.

As Harry took the seat that had been offered, He didn't understand what he was here for and at this moment in time, it felt like he was back at the Academy with one of his teachers who was about to lecture him.

After he sat down Iria walked around the desk and sat down in the chair behind it facing him. Her expression wasn't amused, nor even slightly cheeky humor playing about her features. It wasn't often she was completely serious. "First off I want to know what you're problem is with me, that you felt the need to call me Toltos and then added insult to it by calling me Ira?"

"What makes you think I have a problem with you?" replied Harry looking back at her, He continued, " So I got your name wrong, If I insulted you, then I'm Sorry," replied Harry. He finished," I was a bit stressed out at the time Iria,"

Iria drew in a breath and let it hiss out from between her teeth, "You know what, forget it, I don't need your respect and you obviously don't seem to care that your behavior was rude and hurtful. You're not an engineer so what does my opinion matter to you right?" She shook her head, "Go on and leave, from now on your canine is banned from Engineering."

"Care, of course I care Iria," replied Harry looking back at the Assistant Chief Engineer, he continued," Again I apologize for my behavior," as he stayed sitting in the seat, he finished, " we are all on this ship and have to get along," as he knew that he had to do something.

Iria shook her head slightly, "Leave, get your canine out of engineering."

"So what do you want me to do to make up for it?" asked Harry.

"You can leave, keep the canine out of engineering. I will make sure that whatever is in need of repairs is done but it sure as hell won't be by me, in your presence." She could do her job and avoid him. The ship was plenty big enough for that.

"Iria, I want to make it up to you somehow," replied Harry looking back at her, He continued," I know I have wronged you and I am very sorry for what I did," as he stayed sitting in the chair, He finished, "Let's talk about this shall we?"

Iria shook her head softly and then tapped her comm-badge, =/\= Taltos to Staff Sergeant Walken and Captain Bolingbroke can the two of you please come to the CEO office? =/\=

If Harry Stevens wasn't going to listen to her requests to leave, maybe Kyle and Edward could get through to him.

"Alright I'm going, but you are making a mistake by not talking to me," replied Harry as he stood up from the chair and walked over towards the door, He turned to face Iria as the door opened, " One question before I leave?" He finished, "Why in the hell did you call me down here for?" as he turned and exited the room, he looked down at Sif and said "Sif, Home," as they headed towards the exit of main Engineering.

[Deck 21 - Marine Country]

=/\=Bolingbroke to Taltos. What's the problem?=/\= He was surprised at the call on board ship, where normally Security or 'Fleet officers would respond to matters first.

=/\= Go for Walken. =/\= Kyle wasn't sure why Iria was calling for both him and the Cap but it must be something important if she was calling for two Marines.

=/\= I need some friendly input about how best to deal with another officer who was until a moment ago refused to leave the CEO office. You're help and opinions are going to be greatly appreciated if you can come?=/\=

=/\= Alright I will be there as soon as possible =/\= Walken answered.

[Deck Fifteen]

As he continued along the corridor, Harry knew he had once more upset Iria as Sif Padded along next to him, he tapped his Combadge, =/\= Lieutenant Taltos, Can we have a talk, please,=/\= as he wanted to put this right.

Iria shook her head she hadn't liked his attitude when she had asked him to leave the dog outside, he had refused to leave when she asked twice and he practially threatened her as he had left after she had called Kyle and Edward over the comms, with his;

"You're making a mistake not talking to me." =/\=Yeah nope not today, Stevens.=/\= Iria retorted as she closed the communication channel.

[CEO's Office]

Bolingbroke and Walken met each other in the turbo lift and arrived at the same time.

"What going on?" Bolingbroke asked

Kyle was quiet as he waited to what was going on.

Iria had barely paced around the room three times before Kyle Walken and Edward Bolingbroke entered she looked up at both and shook her head slightly, "Cliff notes version I tried to have a talk with Harry Stevens about his behaviour towards me during the mine infiltration." She paused "He called me by the wrong last name then moments later called me Ira, he said it was stress but it was still hurtful and he was rude when I asked him to leave his dog out of the office."

Iria took a breath hissed it out slowly then took another breath "I got fed up with his attitude and told him to leave he sat there stubbornly saying he would make it right. I told him to leave again he didn't so I called you two because he might have listened to your command better since he doesn't appear to appreciate my orders. Then as he left he said ""You're making a mistake not talking with me."" So yeah that was what ten minutes ago?"

She looked at them a moment, "I can bring up the security feed so you can see the whole thing? Just me know what you think I should do."

"Well, he was refusing to leave, a vague threat, and brought in his dog when you clearly told him to leave it outside. Not much I can do, I would offer to break his arm but it's frowned on when enlisted show up an officer." Kyle remarked as he placed a hand on his friend's shoulder. "Honestly I would say go to the Captain and file an official complaint, inform him of what happened and show him the feed."

Bolingbroke nodded. "Kyle is correct, this is a Starfleet matter, raise it via the ship's chain of command. I hear Stevens has a new boss, a Vulcan, l'm sure she won't put up with this kind of thing. Bring it to her and the Executive Officer. They can put him in his place."

Iria nodded, looking up at both of them. "Okay thanks for the advise and for coming up here so fast. Sorry if I pulled you away from something more important?"

"I'm enlisted Iria, I'm at the beck and call of all officers. It's my honor." Walken was been obviously sarcastic before patting his friend on the back. "But no worries we're friends, Marines don't abandon them."

Bolingbroke nodded, he had found Stevens troubling from the first time they interacted tracking down the Gorn Doctor. The man seemed immature and inexperienced, having a position of authority in the ship's Security department just seemed to make those traits worse.

"Take it through the line of command Iria" He counselled "Have this nonsense stopped dead. We are in the middle of a war, we don't need fights on the ship as well as off"

Iria nodded as she looked at them both. "Alright, thanks again,"

He gave her a smile. "On another subject, I've got a few hours off later, want to go for a drive?"

Walken began to walk towards the exit of engineering picking up on the drift of the conversation. "I just remembered I got that thing to do at the place that isn't here."

Iria grinned cheekily at Bolingbroke and laughed softly as Kyle walked away, "Stay out of mischief Walken," she looked back up at Captain Edward Bolingbroke and nodded with a Cheshire smile, "Going for a drive sound great!"
