Meeting the boss

Mission: Ne Me'e Laua Na Paio - Heroes & Villains
Location: Security office

It had been a difficult day yesterday after gala that involved the Secretary, it had been after the VIP had left the arena that he had been informed that he was to be assigned to the Hawaii that lie in orbit around the planet. He had done so well last night that his posting was to be that of Assistant chief of Security and tactical. Now here he was standing outside the Chief's office steadying himself as he was about to report in, he thought I wonder what we will get to see and do on this Mission, as he pressed the buzzer and waited to be asked in.

Sitting behind his desk, he heard the door chime and he smiled. Taking a moment to wipe off what little sweat he had on his face, he stood to his full 7'1 hight and said, in a gruff voice, "Enter"

But Harry hadn't been surprised about what had happened when he had been approached by someone claiming to be from SFI, However, he entered Winchester's Office, He said, "Ensign Harry Stevens, reporting as ordered Sir," as he was still not sure what he was supposed to be doing for Intelligence and why had he been chosen for this work.

Pointing to a chair, Winchester said, "Sit, I want to know your orders and about you in general".

Harry replied " I'm here as your new assistant chief of Security " as he handed over his transfer orders, although he was here to find out who was leaking Starfleet secrets to the highest bidder. but Winchester was not to know that but he had now been put in place for that reason.

"Welcome aboard", Winchester said folding his hands behind his back. "So you care to tell me", he said staring at the man, "Why I was not consulted or told in advance of you being sent here?"

"I have no idea Lieutenant " replied Harry as he looked back at Winchester, although he was here to catch a mole but he could not tell the Lieutenant about his real mission here.

His face turning a shade of red, Winchester began to pace, somthing he only did when he was either highly agitated or deep in thought, and right now he was both. The message he had gotten earlier about a possible leak and the person suspected of it had drove him to the edge, and this situation and drove him over it. Turning to look the man dead square in the eyes, Jake said, " Until with I find out why exactly you are here, the real reason, and why I was not told nor consulted in advance of your arivval, you are restricted to desk duty". "You will have no access to secured areas of the ship such as the Bridge, all armories, main engineering etc, and your security clearance will be next to non existent, am i clear?

"crystal Sir" replied Harry although his intelligence clearance gave him permission to go anywhere he liked and he knew that was not going to make Winchester happy if he found out that Harry was an intelligence officer.

"Good", Winchester said, "Now get out", he said pointing at his office door.

Harry rose from his chair and walked towards the door and knew that this was not going to be to end well, but what could he do orders were orders as he walked out of the chiefs office to head to the ships armoury to get his sidearm.
