Sweet Iced Coffee

Halona paid attention to details, she had to in her work, so she took it very seriously when they said their likes and dislikes. Even when it came to coffee.

She carried a tall Sweetened Ice Colombian blended coffee for the first officer on the tray with his new stack of PaDD's and she brought along an extra thing this morning, fresh lemon muffins from the lounge manager's oven. She balanced the tray out of habit and rang the chime and waited for the okay to enter.

"Come in" Juan said, stifling a yawn. "Ah, Ms. Grayson, what do you have for me today?"

Halona smiled gently as she walked in the tray balanced evenly in her hands, "Good morning, Sir! I brought sweet iced Colombian blend coffee, your morning paperwork, and some muffins fro the lounge manager fresh from the oven, lemon flavored." She paused lightly, "I wasn't certain if you had time for breakfast and figured you might enjoy a snack while you're working?"

"Fresh from the oven you say?" Juan perked up in his seat, eyes sweeping intently over the tray in Halona's hand. "Bring that over here and let's have a look."

Halona walked over with the tray, she paused by the left hand side of the desk, carefully setting the tray down on his desk before him to allow him to decide what o remove how he chose. She stepped back and waited a small smile on her face, "The lounge manager said they'd be trying different muffins each morning to see which was most popular they're planning on a mult-berry ones tomorrow." She offered lightly.

"That sounds like a welcome source of variety to me." Juan mused as he plucked one of the muffins off the tray. In an instant he had it peeled and was enjoying the puff of steam as he split it apart. "Muy bien." He set the muffin halves down on a napkin, thoughtfully included, and took a sip of his coffee. "Now Ms. Grayson, what's in the paperwork today?"

Halona smiled softly, "You have meetings with the department heads later today, some of the crew transfers had been completed and the new crew are settled into their quarters, some quarters change of location requests, and a meeting on the station is set for tomorrow, pending your agreement." she said lightly. There was more but it was for HIS eyes only and she did not pry on that, ever.

"Sounds straightforward enough I should think." Juan mused as he fished up the PADD containing the details of the next day's meeting. "Here'to smooth sailing then," he picked up a muffin half and started munching absently as he read. "Is there anything else you might need from me?"

Halona shook her head softly, "I was only waiting for you to dismiss me, if you need anything else just let me know, Sir." She was glad he seemed to be enjoying the muffins. She hoped that the next days choice would be was satisfying for him but if not she would keep in mind what he liked and didn't.

"Alright, dismissed and good luck. Thank you for the tip about the lounge manager too." Juan said before taking another bite and settling into the day's business.

Halona smiled brightly, "Thank you Sir and it's part of the job giving useful information." She turned around and headed for the doorway, and after it hissed closed behind her Halona hummed softly as she walked down the corridor....
