Mission:
Ka Hakaka Maikaʻi - The Good Fight
Location: Bridge - Deck 1
Timeline: Concurrent with "In the den of dragons - Part 4" and "Out of the den of dragons"

At the Tactical/Security and OPS terminals, a red light started to flash...
"Sir. XFY's sensors just picked up multiple targets. Traveling high warp, bearing 210 and closing." Arthur said, checking the light.
Akio gripped the arms of the command chair. More inbound targets?
"Helm, hard to port, heading 1-8-0!" Akio quickly commanded.
"Aye, Skipper, heading 1-8-0," Cassidy confirmed, gripping the edge of his console even as he steered the ship. Such a manoeuvre had the gentle tip of the deck, inertial dampeners fighting the lurch of the engines in what would threaten the stomachs of less seasoned spacefarers than Starfleet. "Coming about to give whoever this is a warm welcome." No more bad guys, he hoped silently. What about cavalry for a change?
"Tactical, arm all tubes with quantum torpedoes," Akio ordered. Even with quantums, they didn't stand a chance against multiple targets. Akio tried to keep a straight face for the crew.
"All tubes are ready and Phasers are fully charged," replied Harry as he knew that further combat was about to take place, he continued," Targeting system has locked on multiple targets, Just Give the word Sir."
"Engineering, damage report!" Akio asked.
Iria bit down on her first reply as it wasn't all that polite, "Same as last report Sir, teams are doing their best to make repairs and get the power flux in order to keep us going strong." She would have preferred in helping get the repairs done as well but she was on the bridge giving details as they came in.
"Copy. Hopefully things will not get worse," Akio said, feeling the frustration of Engineering trying to keep the ship going.
Just as Akio replied, the viewscreen showed a saucer separating from the Gorn Cruiser and started propelling towards XFY.
'They had to focus fire on the Cruiser... yet what about XFY?' Akio thought.
=/\= Targets will be in visual range in 2 minutes, =/\= the CIC reported. Akio wondered why the vessels weren't already firing.
=/\= *static* Ha--- *static, garbled message* =/\=
"Boost signal!" Akio ordered to the Science station.
=/\= Hawaii, Hawaii, this is Battle Group Hercules, hold your fire! =/\=
"Weapons hold, focus fire on the Gorn Cruiser!" Akio quickly ordered. "OPS, open a secure line to the Hercules and advise them of the separated saucer headed towards XFY and that we have our people aboard. Initiate emergency recall of boarding party, NOW!"
"Aye sir, advising the Hercules now." Arthur said,
[Shuttle bay]
Rora didn't comment much during the flight back other than to check with Spencer that the tractor beam hauling the Gorn ship was strong and steady. Once the Hawaii Hanger was in sight she felt a small smile blooming over her lips. Home again, with their boarding party, some extra and a ship that was going to be puzzle. Once everyone had disembarked she was going to be very interested in looking at the Gorn ship.

There was a transport shimmer and Tolkath appeared on the Bridge, still wearing his Marine flack jacket and helmet. He removed the helmet as he crossed to join Tachibana.
"Captain, the ventral saucer. It will impact in less than twenty seconds..."He said quietly. No trace of emotion at the potential devastation about to be wrought on the station.
Tachibana took a beat to realize their trusted Vulcan Chief Science Officer had returned.
"We have missed you, Commander. We are tracking the saucer and the Hercules Battle Group has joined us and will take care of it. We just wanted to be sure to avoid further casualties," Akio blinked, thankful Tolkath had survived.
Tolkath nodded and turned to watch the viewscreen.
Akio turned back to the Klingon-esque human at the OPS terminal.
"Mr. Ruk, send the all clear to Hercules to destroy the saucer!" Akio ordered.
"Aye sir, clearing Hercules to destroy Gorn saucer." Arthur said, keying in several commands
On the view screen, the battle had clearly tilted into Federation favor as the newly arrived battlegroup destroyed the saucer with ease.
Akio could not help but wonder who was left on it. Hopefully all of their people did make it back. He glanced at Tolkath who showed no emotion. He knew there were casualties though and hoped they were able to bring back the bodies of the fallen.
As the saucer was destroyed, the cruiser was clearly retreating from battle.
"Let them go," Akio ordered. The Hawaii had been damaged enough. No sooner had Akio mentioned that, the Hercules was hailing them. "On screen."
The Captain seemed surprised that Akio took it on the bridge. "Captain Tachibana, we can destroy the cruiser, why are you ordering weapons hold?"
"If we destroy the cruiser, there is no Gorn that tells the tale of what happened here, Captain. The Gorn have been confident in their war thus far. They have won every battle up to this point. Letting that cruiser go will do more to harm their confidence than removing it from the universe entirely," Akio explained.
The Hercules Captain stayed silent before nodding. The channel went dead and the mood on the bridge seemed to lift and the first smiles started to break out.
"All departments, conduct repair and recovery. Update logs within 24 hours, expect a senior staff briefing in 72 hours to go over after action items," Akio ordered.
"Captain" Tolkath approached Tachibana's chair " l will prepare a full report on the Boarding Action, but l thought you would wish to know one detail now. We brought you a Prize..."
